What Is the 3D Pixel Pillar Light?

The 3D Pixel Pillar Light is an addressable RGB pixel column designed for nightclub ceiling installations. Each pillar contains 81 RGB pixels arranged on multiple illuminated surfaces, allowing several pillars to form a suspended 3D pixel matrix with dynamic spatial lighting effects.

How the 3D Pixel Matrix Works

Multiple pixel pillars are arranged across the ceiling and mapped as one lighting system. The controller sends pixel data to each fixture, allowing synchronized patterns, color transitions and 3D effects to move across the entire array.

The 3D Pixel Pillar system creates dynamic spatial lighting effects such as waves, chases, pulses, tunnels, gradients, and 3D pixel animations. It can also be synchronized with LED dance floors for coordinated ceiling and floor effects.

By controlling pixel colors, brightness, and timing, the system creates dynamic 3D wave and spatial pixel effects.

Standard vs. Bottom-Pixel Version

For a more dimensional lighting effect, each pillar can be equipped with an additional 9W bottom pixel.

This adds another illuminated surface to the 4-sided pixel column, creating a stronger sense of depth when viewed from below.

How to Install the 3D Pixel Pillar Light

The 3D Pixel Pillar Light features a modular installation design for quick and flexible setup. Individual pillars can be installed with hooks or screws, while 4-, 6-, and 9-pillar matrix are available for faster installation and more efficient large-area layouts.

Daisy-Chain Power & Data Connection

Connect multiple 3D Pixel Pillar Lights in sequence using the power and data cables. All pillars should be installed in the same orientation to ensure consistent pixel mapping and lighting effects.

Individual Pillar Hook Mounting

Connect the power and data cables first, then secure each 3D Pixel Pillar Light to the ceiling or truss using the mounting bracket and lighting hook.

9-Pillar Matrix Hook Mounting

The 9-pillar module comes pre-assembled and internally connected, reducing on-site wiring and installation time. Each module can be mounted directly to the ceiling or truss and then connected to adjacent modules through the power and data connections.

DMX & MADRIX Lighting Control

The 3D Pixel Pillar Light supports DMX512, Art-Net, offline playback and TTL-based pixel control. Fixtures connect to the control system through RJ45 data cables, allowing integration with DMX consoles or MADRIX for synchronized lighting control and pixel mapping.

DMX512 Console Integration

Connect the main controller to a DMX512 console and switch to External DMX mode. The console can then trigger and control the lighting effects as part of the existing nightclub lighting system.

Main & Sub-Controller Expansion

When the number of fixtures exceeds the capacity of a single controller, the lights can be distributed across multiple sub-controllers and linked to one main controller. This allows larger installations to run synchronized lighting effects as one system.

MADRIX Programming & Network Control

How Many 3D Pixel Pillar Lights Do I Need?

The quantity depends on your ceiling size, pixel spacing, and desired visual density. Send us your venue dimensions or CAD drawing, and we can recommend the pillar quantity and layout.

Can This Work with My Existing Lighting Console?

Yes. The system can integrate with a DMX512 lighting console through the controller, allowing the Pixel Pillar Lights to work as part of your existing nightclub lighting setup.

Is MADRIX Required?

No. MADRIX is not required for basic operation. Preset effects and DMX control are available, while MADRIX is recommended for advanced pixel mapping, custom animations, and more complex synchronized effects.

Can You Create the Lighting Programs for Us?

The controller we sent you already includes many built-in dynamic programs to meet everyday needs. For personalized dynamic effects, professional lighting technicians will be required to edit them.

What Happens If One Pixel Pillar Fails?

The system uses a modular design, so an individual Pixel Pillar can be removed and replaced without replacing the complete installation. Troubleshooting can also be performed separately for the fixture, power, and data connections.

Can I Expand the System Later?

Yes. The modular design allows additional Pixel Pillars or modules to be added later. The controller capacity, power supply, and data configuration should be checked when expanding the system.
